  • Summary of the project: MOSAIC focuses on the study and development of advanced far-field optical fibre antennas to convey unprecedented features in terms of practicability, sensitivity and optical functionality to immunosensing and spectroscopic imaging modalities. The overall objective is to develop a highly original technical platform based on micro/nano-engineered architectures mixing optical taps, directional couplers and lenses in telecommunication- grade optical fibres. MOSAIC is therefore a compact and high performance analytical tool situated in the field of biophotonics, at the crossroads of laser patterning and light-matter interactions, with end applications in highly-sensitive in vivo biosensing and imaging.
