Physical chemistry of soft matter interfaces; biofouling and adsorption phenomena, surface self-assembly and interfacial structure, surface modification.

Detailed techniques available in the lab

Imaging methods for surface studies: Imaging surface plasmon resonance for quantitative, surface-specific and real-time studies of adsorption or surface attachment; imaging ellipsometry and imaging infrared spectroscopy for adsorption, structural and chemical analysis of surfaces.

Additional comment

We have a well-equipped laboratory for surface preparation, surface spectroscopy and analysis of soft matter interfaces.
